Butchers, Bakers (and even Candlestick Makers) - This Auction’s For You
Wednesday, 18 January 2012 09:10

Butchers, bakers (and even candlestick makers) should take note of Aucor’s first catering auction of 2012, which promises to be a sizable one.

Aucor MD Darren Winterstein says the auction will be an ideal purchasing opportunity for anyone looking to start up in the catering and hospitality industry or wanting to supplement or upgrade their butchery, bakery and deli equipment.

“We have literally anything and everything that has to do with catering, butchery and restaurants,” he comments, adding that amongst the items to be sold will be refrigeration cold rooms, supermarket, canteen, coffee shop and restaurant equipment, plus commercial catering equipment. He says on the butchery side, bidders can choose from preparation tables and sinks, tenderisers, vacuum sealers, band saws, meat slicers and mincers and sausage fillers.

Bakers can bid for provers, various ovens, scales, dough dividers, pastry sheeters, bread moulders, cake and dough mixers while the range of refrigeration equipment includes glass top reach-in fridges, ice-makers, island freezers, highback meat and vegetable display units, single and double door beverage display fridges, chest freezers and underbar fridges.

Added to that is a range of supermarket equipment including gondola and industrial shelving, point of sale systems, scales, check-out counters, trolleys and baskets, chicken rotisseries and schwarma grillers.

There are over 1300 banqueting chairs on offer, plus various styles of restaurant chairs, curved glass display fridges, polony slicers, wrapping machines, bain-maries, vegetable slicers, juicers, potato peelers, grillers, fryers, salamanders, popcorn and soft serve machines, blenders, coffee machines, dining carts, gas ovens and chafing dishes. “We have a massive selection on offer so buyers in the industry looking to stock up on these items would be well advised to view the range,” he concludes.

The auction takes place on Thursday 26 January at 10:30 at Aucor – 562 – 15th Street, Randjespark, Midrand.  Viewing takes place the day before from 09:00 to 16:00.
