Aucor is gearing up for its first supercar auction of 2012, and according to Aucor MD Darren Winterstein, buyers looking for high-performance, stunning European styling or rugged power, will find it on the auction floor this Saturday.
“We’ve already confirmed a range of 2011 models together with numerous 2010 and 2009 models in excellent condition, and car aficionados in the market for something special have plenty from which to choose,” he says. If you’re looking for 4x4 grunt, there is strong showing of luxury models, including a Range Rover Sport TDV8 or Landrover Discovery 4 TDV6 SE, both 2011 models, a 2010 Discovery 4 5.0 V8 HSE and very low-mileage Range Rover Sport TDV8, both 2010 models, a 2009 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG (Performance Pack) and several other options, ranging from additional Range Rover models to a Mercedes-Benz ML500 (new specifications), Toyota Fortuner, BMW X5 and Jeeps. Buyers looking for something smaller but equally special, can compete for a custom red Nissan 350Z Roadster BiTurbo Veilside Cabriolet (600 Hp), a car seldom seen on auction, a 2007 Aston Martin Vantage, a new shape 2010 Jaguar XJ Supercharged with only 3000kms on the clock or a four-door BMW M3 M-DCT. Also lined up are a number of Lexus models, including a 2010 IS 250 SE Auto and a 2009 SC430 Cabriolet, several heavy-hitting Mercedes-Benz models ranging from a virtually brand new, low-mileage 2011 CL 600 V12, an SL65 AMG, S500, CLS500 or SL500 or a 2006 Maserati Quattroporte.Also lined up are several late model, low mileage runabouts with several Nissan, Chevrolet, Toyota and Ford models available. The auction kicks off at 12:00 on Saturday 28 January at Aucor in Midrand – 562 – 15th Road, with viewing and registration taking place the day before from 09:00 to 16:00.
