Catering Auctions make business sense for Hospitality Industry
Wednesday, 15 February 2012 06:27
Aucor’s next catering auction, which follows hot on the heels of its previous catering and hospitality sale at the end of last month, promises again to bring a large selection of quality equipment and machinery to the auction floor.

“Two key factors, which work hand in hand, have resulted in increasing the frequency of our catering auctions.  Stock from banks and liquidators which they want to move off their books coupled with a strong demand from buyers is making these sales a regular fixture on our auction calendar,” says Aucor MD Darren Winterstein

next auction, scheduled for Thursday 23 February, will see a significant range of good quality butchery, bakery, restaurant and coffee shop and banqueting and conferencing equipment being sold to the highest bidder.   Stock includes  supermarket, canteen, coffee shop and restaurant equipment, plus commercial catering equipment.

Preparation tables and sinks, tenderisers, vacuum sealers, band saws, meat slicers and mincers and sausage fillers are on offer, together with provers, various ovens, scales, dough dividers, pastry sheeters, bread moulders, cake and dough mixers.

Added to the stock is a selection of refrigeration equipment and freezers, plus supermarket equipment, restaurant chairs, curved glass display fridges, polony slicers, wrapping machines, bain-maries, vegetable slicers, juicers, potato peelers, grillers, fryers, salamanders, popcorn and soft serve machines, blenders, coffee machines, dining carts, gas ovens and chafing dishes.

“It is essential that we offer our clients value for money and top branded equipment as the market has shown a rejuvenated influx of new business owners. Catering and hospitality equipment does not retail cheaply, and more and more buyers are exploring the auction route because they know they will realize a saving of anything up to 40% on good quality equipment compared to retail prices.”

Interested buyers should note that the auction starts at 10:30 on the 23rd at Aucor Midrand – 562 – 15th Road, Midrand, with viewing the day before.
